Itinerary

   Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Taznakht – Foum Zguid

   Your adventure starts in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We leave the city behind and drive towards the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we stop at scenic viewpoints to enjoy the mountain landscapes and traditional Berber villages. We then continue south to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient fortified village, walk through its narrow streets and discover its traditional earthen architecture. After the visit, we continue toward Taznakht, a town known for its Berber carpets and traditional crafts, where we stop for lunch. In the afternoon, the landscape gradually changes from mountains to the dry desert scenery of the Anti-Atlas. We continue to Foum Zguid, one of the main gateways to Erg Chigaga.    Foum Zguid – Lake Iriqui – Erg Chigaga – Camel Ride & Desert Camp

   After breakfast, the real desert adventure begins. We leave Foum Zguid in a 4x4 vehicle and leave the paved road behind as we enter the desert tracks. Our route takes us across the spectacular landscapes of Lake Iriqui, a vast dry lake surrounded by desert plains and dramatic scenery. Along the way, enjoy photo stops and discover the changing landscapes of the Sahara. Your local driver-guide will introduce you to the desert environment and the traditional way of life of the region. We continue deeper into the desert until the magnificent Erg Chigaga dunes appear on the horizon. Erg Chigaga Desert Arrive at your desert camp and take some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. In the afternoon, climb onto your camel for a memorable sunset camel ride across the dunes. For those looking for more adventure, try sandboarding on the golden dunes. As the sun sets, return to the camp and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. After dinner, gather around the campfire for Berber music, traditional drumming and storytelling under the stars.    Erg Chigaga – Desert Sunrise – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech

   Wake up early to experience the peaceful sunrise over the Erg Chigaga dunes. After breakfast, we leave the camp by 4x4 and begin our journey back through the desert. Enjoy the changing scenery as we cross the desert tracks toward Foum Zguid and return to the paved road. We continue through Taznakht and the Anti-Atlas before beginning the journey north toward the High Atlas Mountains. After crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, we continue toward Marrakech. We arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon or early evening, where your Erg Chigaga desert adventure comes to an end. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
