Itinerary

   Marrakech – Imlil – Marrakech

   Drive into the Atlas Mountains: Depart Marrakech early and travel toward the heart of the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying panoramic views of dramatic peaks and green valleys. Imlil Village & Berber Culture: Arrive in Imlil, a traditional Berber village and gateway to Toubkal National Park, home to North Africa’s highest peak. If open, explore the famous Asni Market, held every Saturday. Optional Hike & Waterfalls: Choose a guided hike around Imlil and Toubkal National Park, visit the nearby waterfalls, or simply relax at a local café while enjoying the mountain scenery. Lunch & Return to Marrakech: Enjoy a traditional Berber lunch at a local guesthouse before departing Imlil in the late afternoon and returning to Marrakech.

   Marrakech – Tizi N’Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Kelaa M’Gouna

   High Atlas Mountains – Tizi N’Tichka Pass: Depart Marrakech early and cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters. Enjoy changing landscapes, from green valleys to rugged mountain peaks and traditional Berber villages scattered along the slopes. Ait Ben Haddou – UNESCO World Heritage Site: Visit the famous ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a remarkable fortified village built from earthen architecture. Wander through its ancient alleys and explore the kasbahs that have featured in famous films such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant nearby. Ouarzazate – Gateway to the Sahara: Continue to Ouarzazate for a short visit. Explore the city center and experience the atmosphere of this historic crossroads, where the High Atlas Mountains meet the vast landscapes of southern Morocco. Kelaa M’Gouna – Valley of the Roses: Continue to Kelaa M’Gouna, located in the heart of Morocco’s famous Valley of the Roses. During the spring season, the valley is filled with the fragrance of Damascus roses, traditionally harvested to produce rose water and essential oils. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at a local guesthouse or kasbah hotel.

   Kelaa M’Gouna – Road of 1001 Kasbahs – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

   Road of 1001 Kasbahs: After breakfast, continue east along the famous Road of 1001 Kasbahs. Travel through dramatic desert landscapes, traditional mud-brick kasbahs, and lush palm oases that have long been part of the caravan routes of southern Morocco. Todra Gorges: Arrive at the spectacular Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs rise nearly 300 meters above the river. Take a walk through the narrow canyon and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before stopping for lunch at a local café. Merzouga & Sunset Camel Trek into Erg Chebbi: Continue to Merzouga and arrive in the afternoon. Meet your camel caravan at the edge of the dunes and ride into the spectacular Erg Chebbi as the sun sets over the Sahara. Reach your private desert camp and enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, mint tea, and an evening of desert music and drumming under the stars. Overnight in a private desert tent.

   Erg Chebbi – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

   Sunrise over Erg Chebbi: Wake up before dawn and step outside your tent to watch the first rays of sunlight illuminate the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a peaceful desert sunrise before having breakfast at camp and preparing for the journey back to Marrakech. Drive Back via Ouarzazate: Leave the Sahara and travel west through the wide desert plains toward the Atlas Mountains. Stop for lunch in Ouarzazate, the famous Gateway to the Sahara, before continuing north through the spectacular southern landscapes. Return to Marrakech: Cross the High Atlas Mountains once again via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass and continue to Marrakech. Arrival is expected at approximately 8:30 PM, followed by drop-off at your riad or hotel in the city.
