Itinerary

1. 1

   Day {{n}}

   Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou

   Leave Marrakech at 09:30 in your private 4x4 and begin your journey through the High Atlas Mountains. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at around 2,260 metres, enjoying beautiful mountain views and traditional Berber villages along the way. Continue towards the Telouet area, then follow the scenic Ounila Valley, passing through small villages, green valleys, and impressive mountain landscapes. Arrive near Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous historic ksars, and take time to explore the area. In the evening, relax and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in a traditional kasbah-style guesthouse near Ait Ben Haddou.

   Ait Ben Haddou – Foum Zguid – Iriqui National Park – Erg Chigaga

   After breakfast, continue south through the beautiful landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing through Tazenakht and Foum Zguid. From Foum Zguid, leave the paved road behind and begin an exciting 4x4 off-road adventure through Iriqui National Park. Cross the wide desert landscapes, passing the dry salt flats of Lake Iriqui and the rugged Madouar Mountains. Continue deep into the Sahara until you reach the impressive Erg Chigaga dunes in the afternoon. After arriving at the desert camp, enjoy a traditional mint tea and take some time to relax. Later, experience a camel ride across the golden dunes and climb one of the highest dunes to watch the beautiful Sahara sunset. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner around the campfire, listen to Saharan music, and admire the stars in the peaceful desert sky. Overnight at the desert camp.

   Erg Chigaga – M’Hamid – Tamegroute – Zagora – Agdz

   After breakfast, leave Erg Chigaga and travel back towards M’Hamid El Ghizlane by 4x4. Continue through Tamegroute and Zagora, following the beautiful Drâa Valley with its green palm groves, villages, and kasbahs. Continue north towards Agdz, enjoying the changing landscapes along the way. Arrive in the afternoon and relax in a charming local guesthouse. Overnight near Agdz. Alternative: If you prefer more time in the Sahara, stay for a second night at Erg Chigaga. Enjoy a relaxed day in the dunes with free time for walking, camel riding, sandboarding, or simply enjoying the peaceful desert atmosphere. Overnight at the desert camp

   Agdz – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

   After breakfast, leave Agdz and begin your journey back to Marrakech. Travel through the beautiful Anti-Atlas Mountains, with impressive views of the High Atlas and the surrounding desert landscapes. Continue towards Ouarzazate, passing the famous NOOR solar power complex, before crossing the High Atlas Mountains again via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Enjoy the changing landscapes along the way, from desert valleys and mountains to traditional villages. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, bringing your Sahara adventure to an end. If you choose the second night in Erg Chigaga: After breakfast, leave the desert and travel by 4x4 through M’Hamid, Foum Zguid, and Ouarzazate before continuing to Marrakech. This is a longer travel day, with arrival usually in the late afternoon or early evening.
